"I reckon North Carolina is the place to be for discovering musical wizards. First, we got Stephen LaVine, Leah Lawson, The Collection, and now, brace yourself for Anna Hudson – the maestro mixin' up genres in her latest single, "The Way It Ends". It's like she's playing a game of mix-and-match with indie-folk, folk-pop, and just a dash of indie-rock."

"This song… this is a “moody” song. You can feel the emotional gravity just hanging in the air with the whole song."
-Greg Jones, EarToTheGround Music, on "Scattered Showers"
"Anna Hudson's "Leech" stands as a fascinating entry in the indie electronic landscape, showcasing the artist's evolution into more experimental territory. Created almost entirely in her bedroom using Logic, the track builds around a hypnotic vocal sample—Hudson's own humming transformed into what she aptly describes as a "vocal organ." This distinctive sonic foundation gives the song an immediately captivating quality. At the 2:22 mark, the track delivers its most compelling moment—a drop that seamlessly blends organic vocal elements with electronic production techniques. This moment encapsulates Hudson's artistic vision: deeply personal yet sonically adventurous." -Unheard Gems

Hudson wrote her debut single "Scattered Showers" and co-produced this track alongside fellow Berklee College of Music student and producer Ellen Cordisco. It was released March 31, 2023. The track features Hudson on acoustic guitar, complemented by a light sprinkling of piano. As the melody washes over listeners, Hudson's rich, colossal vocals fill both the foreground and background of the song to the brim with emotion, creating a cathartic experience for both the artist and her audience.
